Dr. Justin L Cunfer DVM grew up on 4th generation beef cattle farm located in Lehighton, PA. He began raising 4-H animal projects at 8 years old and has helped to expand the family herd to 30 breeding animals and 50-60 feedlot steers. His passion for animals has made him a outstanding Large Animal Vet since 2010.
My goal has always been to become a vet, even when everyone said it’s the hardest profession to get into. I wanted to serve the farmers, 4-H members, and horse owners of my area. Getting to work with fellow producers, sharing our common appreciation for the agricultural lifestyle, and helping them thrive and grow is the best way to spend every single day.
Dr Cunfer and his wife, Katie along with his family operate Never Done Farm, raising Black Angus cattle. The majority of the beef is sold through custom orders direct to customers in the spring and fall. With a Blue Heeler dog named Drover, a large herd of overly friendly outdoor farm cats, and five exceedingly spoiled house cats, Dr Cunfer’s animal connection continues to his own animals.
I love the connection to the people and their animals. Veterinary medicine is always a new challenge and every farm you pull on to is different. I get to work out the puzzle, some more common and others extraordinarily complex, but it’s never boring. Through this profession I have gained an even greater appreciation for our area farmers and I am proud to call these hard working, giving, and dedicated people my friends.
Dr. Cunfer is a fabulous vet. He is always super helpful and runs out to our farm anytime we need him. He is great with all of the animals on our farm and has helped us in a pinch many times!!!
